Born in Panama, raised in Los Angeles, Rey Loo is a percussionist, songwriter and MC. Raised in a household with grandparents, aunts and uncles who all loved music, Salsa, R&B, funk, reggae espanol, dancehall, soul, jazz, classical ,80’s rock/pop, new wave, & hip-hop in the form of a large vinyl collection were at his fingertips.
Rey Loo joined the group Justice Leeg in 1998 and has since released two independent albums with the group. “I love music because of its potential to uplift, to soothe, to communicate and to inspire. There is a science within it that I find beautiful, magical and magnetic. I experienced these qualities while working on the Arise album, so I am really looking forward to doing this again for volume 2.”
